Hardship / Cinderella / Work License- Massachusetts
A hardship license is a restricted license in that it allows you to drive for a set 12 hour period, 7 days a week. In order to be granted a hardship license, you will need to provide adequate documentation that you would suffer a significant “hardship” without this limited use license. In Massachusetts, the RMV only considers hardships related to work, school, or important regular medical appointments. The RMV now requires VERY specific documentation before it will grant you a hardship license.
I am an expert in Hardship license issues. I will help you gather and prepare the necessary paperwork and then represent you at the RMV hardship hearing. I am well-known to the Boston- RMV hearings officers, and my success rate at these hearings is over 95%. The last thing you want to do is show up at the RMV and wait 2 hours, only to then learn that your paperwork is insufficient or defective and have your hardship request denied. People often have a difficult time getting a hardship license at the second hearing.Am I Eligible for a Massachusetts Hardship License?
Whether or not you are eligible for a hardship license will depend on several factors, the most important of which is the specific violation/charge for which your license has been suspended. Other factors may include your driving history, age (if under 21), criminal record, outstanding payments/citations, and facts relating to your driving in any relevant police reports.
If you are looking to get a hardship license because your license has been suspended for OUI/DUI/DWI, please refer to my OUI penalties page to see if/ when you are eligible.
